THE ATELIERS — Standards
Our Commitment to Quality
From the weight of the fabric to the precision of the finish — every detail held to the highest standard, without exception.
Why it matters
Quality is not
a feature. It's a habit.
At THE ATELIERS, quality is not something we mention in passing — it is the reason we exist. Every fabric we source, every seam we sew, every curtain we dispatch has been held to a standard we have maintained since our first atelier in Paris, fifteen years ago. That standard has never changed.
Our Standards
Six commitments,
no exceptions
01
European Fabric Sourcing
Every fabric is sourced directly from mills in France, Belgium and Italy. We visit our suppliers regularly and select each cloth by hand — for weight, drape, colour fastness and longevity.
02
Hand-Finished Seams
Every heading, every hem, every lining join is finished by hand in our London atelier. Machine stitching is used only where invisible. Where it shows, hands do the work.
03
Pre-Dispatch Inspection
Before any curtain leaves our atelier, it is steamed, measured and inspected against your original specification. If something is not right, it does not leave. Simple as that.
04
Colourfast Guarantee
All fabrics are tested to BS EN ISO 105 standards for colourfastness to light and washing. We only stock what we are confident will look as beautiful in ten years as it does on day one.
05
5-Year Warranty
Every curtain we make carries a five-year warranty against seam failure, lining deterioration and fabric defect under normal domestic use. No forms, no fuss — we simply put it right.
06
Re-Lining Service
When a lining reaches the end of its life, our re-lining service extends the life of your fabric indefinitely — because sustainability starts with longevity, not replacement.
The Materials
Chosen to
last a lifetime
The finest interiors are not built on what photographs well — they are built on what endures. Every material in the THE ATELIERS collection is selected with that single horizon in mind.
We do not compromise on fabric weight, thread count or finish — because a curtain that pills, fades or droops within three years is not a curtain. It is a disappointment.

Our Atelier
Made slowly,
made well
We do not operate on the logic of volume. Each order is treated as a single commission — given the time, attention and skill it deserves.
Our London atelier is small by design. The people who cut your fabric are the same people who finish your heading and pack your curtains for dispatch. There is no production line. There is no rushing.
That is what quality actually looks like, when nobody is watching.
"We have never made a curtain we were not proud of. That is not a boast — it is simply the standard we hold ourselves to, every single day."
