However, as screens vary, we recommend ordering a fabric sample before committing to a full order — it's the best way to see the true colour, weight and texture in your own home.

As a general guide, your curtains should be 2 to 2.5 times the width of your window for a full, luxurious drape. For length, we always recommend floor to ceiling for the most elegant result.

Most THE ATELIERS curtains can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C. We recommend rehanging them while still slightly damp to allow the fabric to fall back into its natural shape.
Velvet curtains should be dry cleaned only to preserve the pile and richness of the fabric.
